Dickerson Park Zoo - Friends of the Zoo (FOZ) enlisted dotDigital Studios to design a completely new look and set of functions to the Dickerson Park Zoo web presence. The old sites visual appearance was dated, the functions were limited and completely managed by the zoo staff through an HTML editor - not easy to do up-keep. dotDigital Studios was challenged with making an attractive website that reflects the quality of the zoos wonderful physical locality, while making the website easy to edit and update on a day-to-day basis, while building functionality that had never existed on their site before.

This project was a passion project for us as we love the zoo and especially our zoo here in Springfield, Missouri. This zoo has always been a source of pride for our city and is just really amazing. We were down right giddy when we were awarded the project. Yep, I said it, "giddy", but we were. We set out to make a beautiful site that is a true compliment of what you would see going to the zoo. We wanted to give Friends of the Zoo a website that had features that allowed them to keep it current without having to do code. Plus, features so that they could have users sign up for their newsletter, buy merchandise, purchase memberships right online, and even adopt an animal right online.

Not only was it a fun project it was a challenge and enhanced our skills even further. A win, win ;) as they would say. The great thing is that we created a great website for our client and our client was happy.
